The most
The Most are a Canadian beat band. They climbed the charts as a one-hit wonder with their hit Another Day in 1964 .
Band history
The Most were founded in the late 1950s as a rock 'n' roll group with the line-up of Peter Smith ( piano , vocals ), John Smith ( double bass ), Thomas Jones ( guitar ) and Jeff Hartson ( drums ). With the rising popularity of the Beatles and their pounding beat sound, Peter Smith switched to the (rhythm) guitar and John Smith to the bass guitar ; Jeff Hartson was also replaced on drums by James Green. In late 1963, The Most recorded their Another Day ; After a slow response at the beginning, it ultimately became a top 10 hit in the USA , Canada and parts of Europe. The subsequent single Julia and the hastily produced album The Most Wonderful went largely unnoticed.
