The nozzle (English for the nozzle ) is a constriction in the lower portion of the Darwin Glacier in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It is located in the vicinity of Diamond Hill on the Hillary coast and leads to upheavals of the ice masses of the glacier, which are compressed here.
The bottleneck was given its descriptive name by the crew of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) who explored the Darwin Glacier.
