With a height of 306.3 meters, The One is expected to be the tallest building when completed in 2022 and also the first skyscraper in Canada at over 300 meters. The building plot was purchased in 2014 for $ 300 million. Construction began in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2022. The entire construction project is estimated at about a billion dollars. The skyscraper will have 85 above-ground and 5 underground floors of mixed use and was designed by Foster and Partners and Core Architects .
