The Playa Chica (Spanish for Little beach is) a beach in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the west side of Cape Shirreff on the northern foothills of the John Paul II Peninsula, it is located immediately northeast of Punta Rapa Nui .
Scientists of the 46th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1991–1992) named him descriptively.
