Punta Doris is a headland in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the west side of Cape Shirreff , the northern branch of the John Paul II peninsula , it is located immediately north of Playa Chica .
Chilean scientists named it after Doris Olivia Eklund, a participant in the 39th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1984–1985).
