The Other Day is a British rock band , the Britpop with influences from Ragga plays and electronic music.

history

The Other Day was founded in early 1998 by guitarist Mark Smith and singer Skip (Brandon Leigh?) ​​In London . Working with local DJs, the group quickly found their own style: Britpop ballads that are pepped up with electronic beats. In 1999, a collaboration with Talvin Singh of the Asian Dub Foundation provided the opportunity to produce a debut album, titled Is Here , which received critical acclaim from the trade press. The electronic instruments have been served by a "DJ One" since this album. Promotional tour with System 7 (Steve Hillage).

In 2003 the second album We'll see followed , in 2005 joint recordings with Damon Albarn from Blur . At the Wacken Festival 2006, the band, which was already moderately known for their albums in England, was also presented as a newcomer on the European mainland.
