The Pipkins were a British pop duo consisting of Tony Burrows and Roger Greenaway .
Career
Tony Burrows was the singer of many groups, such as B. White Plains , Brotherhood of Man, and Edison Lighthouse . With the latter he landed on No. 1 of many hit lists with the song "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)".
Roger Greenaway was part of the very successful composer duo Cook / Greenaway in the 1960s and 1970s. With David Dundas , Greenaway wrote the number one hit "Jeans On" in 1976.
The Pipkins appeared in oversized, discarded trousers with wide braces and brightly striped shirts.
The Pipkins' best-known song was Gimme Dat Ding , composed by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood , a fun song that came from the English children's TV program Oliver & The Overlord .
The Pipkins released 2 LPs: "Gimme dat ding" (1970) and "We want to sing" (1971)
