Edison Lighthouse was a British pop band , but it was a pure studio project.

Band history

The studio singer Tony Burrows (born April 14, 1942 in Exeter / Devon , England ) recorded many records and released them. Only then was it decided whether a group would be put together around the hit that might develop from it.

With the song Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) the formation Edison Lighthouse achieved an absolute world hit and million seller at the beginning of 1970 ( UK number one, US number five, DE number eight). With It's Up to You Petula , another, but smaller hit followed in January 1971.

Before and after that, Burrows mainly realized other projects: He sang the lead vocal in The Ivy League , The Flower Pot Men , White Plains , The Pipkins , Brotherhood of Man and First Class, among others .
