The Priests are a British classical singing group made up of three Roman Catholic priests. She inspired the singing group Les Prêtres in France and the priests in Germany .
Career
As students at St. MacNissi's College , the two brothers Eugene and Martin O'Hagan first met David Delargy and also found each other as singers. They then continued to study together at the Seminary in Belfast and the Pontifical Irish College in Rome . There they also sang at a papal service.
They later returned to Northern Ireland , where each was given their own congregation, which they have looked after ever since. The vocal connection still remained and in 2008 even signed a record deal under which they recorded the album The Priests . This became a worldwide success and reached number 1 in the Irish charts, among other things, also number 1 in Norway and number 2 in New Zealand and the Netherlands. In the USA it reached number 2 in the classical music charts. In the UK, it sold faster than any debut album before in the classical field.
The following year, The Priests released a second album entitled Harmony, which returned to the charts in many countries, reaching number 1 in Sweden and number 3 in New Zealand.
