Agdistis delicatulella is a butterfly (moth) from the family of feather moths (Pterophoridae).

features

The moths reach a wingspan of 13 to 17 millimeters. The forewings are pale gray and speckled with dark scales . There are three spots on the Costa loader, between these the scale fringes are almost white. A third spot is located diagonally below the central costal spot.

The valves are almost symmetrical, the left valve has a non-uniform surface ventrally . The right valve has a small attachment near the apex. The costalarms are long and narrow and about as long as the valves. The aedeagus is equipped with a long cornutus, the latter is provided with a thorn-like extension at both ends.

The ostium is unequal. The apophyseal appendages are as long as the eighth tergite .

distribution

Agdistis delicatulella is native to Corsica and Malta .

Way of life

The moths fly in July, September and October. In Corsica the caterpillars were found on purslane wedge marmosets ( Atriplex portulacoides ).
