The Prize Fighter Inferno is the solo project of the Coheed and Cambria front man Claudio Sanchez. According to an interview, while recording Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness , Sanchez had so many ideas that he promptly recorded his own album. The instruments on the album My Brother's Blood Machine were all played and recorded by Sanchez. The album was released on October 31, 2006.

Sanchez tries out completely new styles of music on My Brother's Blood Machine . The album consists of a mix of folk rock, electronica and pop. This mix is supported by the very high voice of Sanchez.
Musically, The Prize Fighter Inferno is very different from Coheed and Cambria.

As with Coheed and Cambria , My Brother's Blood Machine tells a story full of tension, grief, fear and fear.
It's about Inferno , also known as Jesse , Coheed's brother , who dies in the Amory Wars and is resurrected on today's earth. Before he can report on the Amory Wars , however, he has to talk about the Blood Machine .
It's about three families: the Bleams that McCloud's and Early's . Cecilia McCloud is in love with Johnny Early and wants to run away with him, so she takes her two brothers, who are twins, and wants to escape, but Johnny stays behind out of fear and Cecilia flees alone with her brothers into the woods.
There she meets the Bleam family. The two brothers Longarm and Butchie are commissioned by their dying mother to collect souls for God because she thinks she had a divine inspiration.
They accept the task and construct the Blood Machine , which is supposed to capture the souls of the deceased from their bodies.
