The Royal North Cape Club

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Royal North Cape Club ( German  The Royal North Cape Club ) is an association for visitors to the Norwegian North Cape .

Its founding goes back to an initiative of the North Cape municipality and the local tourist association Nordkapp Reiselivslag . It was founded on June 7, 1984, when the Nordkalotten Memorial or the Midnight Sun Road Memorial was unveiled.

The club aims to promote the community of those who have visited the North Cape. Part of the membership fee is therefore used to preserve the North Cape. Membership in the club makes it possible to belong to a community that is associated with the North Cape.

The club has around 47,880 members (as of February 2019). Membership grants free entry to the North Cape for life. Entry costs 175 Norwegian kroner (as of 2017).
