The Selector

The Selector is the British Council's international online radio show . The weekly two hour program features new music from the UK . According to the makers, The Selector is heard in 44 countries around the world and some of it is also broadcast by regional channels.

The show is moderated by DJane Goldierocks alias Sam Hall . Hall also hosted the spin-off dance show “Selector After Dark,” which airs in Mexico, South Africa and China. She has hosted for Capital FM , BBC Radio 1 and a number of online shows. The program covers all genres of contemporary music and includes interviews and exclusive live sessions with British newcomer bands.

In 2005 the show won the Sony Radio Academy Award and in 2015 the Mixclouds Award for “Best Pop / New Music Show”. In addition, the show won the title “World's Best Online Radio Show”.
