Samantha Louise "Sam" Hall (born October 30, 1984 ), pseudonym Goldierocks , is a British presenter , journalist and DJ . She designs The Selector , the world's most popular new music show from the UK .

Life

Sam Hall was born in Guildford , Surrey . She studied Drama & Theater Arts at Goldsmiths College  ( University of London ). In 2004 she started playing at Rockfeedback's showcase club nights in London and quickly made a name for herself with her theatrical and committed performances.

Sam Hall is best known for her weekly two-hour show The Selector . Produced by the British Council , the program provides information about new music on the island, is adopted by a number of radio stations around the world and is heard online by many music enthusiasts. The program covers all genres of contemporary music and includes interviews and exclusive live sessions with British newcomer bands. Hall also hosted the  spin-off dance show “Selector After Dark,” which airs in Mexico, South Africa and China.

Goldierocks has already presented for Capital FM,  BBC Radio 1  and a number of online shows: In 2016, Hall became 'face of dance music' on the London radio network Capital FM and has since presented the program The Capital Weekender on Friday night. The show has around 8 million listeners. In the same year Hall started her weekly program IO Project on Pioneer DJ Radio. This is an independent program specially designed for DJs.

Sam Hall also plays at many international festivals. She could be heard on the turntables at Bestival , the Secret Garden Party, Latitude , Ibiza Rocks , Burning Man and Lake of Stars .
