The Tutu Project is a Cary Foundation ( Montvale , NJ) charity founded by Bob Carey in 2003 to help women with breast cancer .

history

When his wife, Linda Carey, developed breast cancer in 2003, the photographer began taking self-portraits in tutu to cheer his wife up and distract himself. He has now visited 170 places. He's something of the celebrity of the hour on the Internet, and more than 125,000 people follow him on Facebook during his dance performances.

The worldwide performances of the New York advertising photographer Bob Carey are intended to bring in donations. The Carey Foundation supports women diagnosed with breast cancer and their loved ones. Money generated through the Tutu project and other donations goes directly to organizations that offer support to affected people and cover costs that result from cancer . This includes, for example, transport to treatments, home care, child care and medical needs. The Carey Foundation is a non-profit organization. In Germany , the project became known to a large audience through Deutsche Telekom's TV advertising .
