Career
In September 1981, a new version of the song Ententanz under the title The Birdie Song (Birdie Dance) rose into the UK Top 40, lasted 28 weeks and reached number 2. A quarter of a year later, Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing came in at number two 44 in the UK. The song is a cover version and was released in 1932 by Lew Stone & the Monseigneur Band as a B-side with a sung chorus on Shellac . Although a few singles from The Tweets were released until 1985 , a chart success was no longer a success.
