The Valkyrians are a Finnish band.

Band history

The Valkyrians were founded in Helsinki in 2002 . Musically, this five-piece band draws its roots from the Jamaican early reggae and rocksteady of the 1960s, as well as from the British 2-tone of the 1970s.

In 2004 the band released their first single, Miracle . The Valkyrians had their breakthrough in 2006 with the cover version of Rankin 'Fullstop which, just like the original by The Beat at the time in England, climbed to number 6 in the Finnish singles charts. In September 2006 the album High And Mighty was released .

In December 2006 the band was on tour in Germany for the first time. A licensed edition of the album High And Mighty with live bonus tracks was released in April 2007 in Germany on the Pork Pie label .
