The Voice of Greece (English for The Voice of Greece , also abbreviated TVOG ) is a Greek singing casting show that has been broadcast by the TV channel ANT1 since January 2014 . It is based on the casting show concept The Voice , which was first implemented in the Netherlands at the end of 2010 under the title The Voice of Holland . The winner of the first season is called Maria Elena Kiriakou. A second season is being planned with The Voice Kids , a casting singing show for children that will start at the same time as Season 2 of The Voice of Greece in 2015.

concept

The concept is similar to that of the original version from Holland. Numerous candidates are invited to the blind auditions who have to prove themselves in front of a four-person jury. If a jury member presses the buzzer, the candidate goes one round. If a candidate does not get a jury member to press the buzzer, he is eliminated. Then it comes to the battle shows, where several candidates have to compete against each other. The live shows will ultimately decide who will win The Voice of Greece.

promotion

The first trailer was released on ANT1 in September 2013, with the words: "The first show where we'll close our eyes and only listen to the voice". Four more twenty-second trailers followed in early December. Another trailer followed on December 12th, which announced the start date and presented the couches for the first time. A bus traveled through Cyprus and Greece, whereupon the jury, the broadcast dates and the logo could be seen to promote the show. The show was promoted on social networks with the hashtag #thevoicegr. There were also individual hashtags about the couches.
