The Waltons are a “cow punk ” band from Berlin .
With their roots in country music , they play a kind of country metal and expressly differentiate themselves from the psychobilly scene, which in their opinion is too violent .
history
Originally founded as "Johannes Paul and the Eternal Second" in Borken (North Rhine-Westphalia), The Waltons were "discovered" in 1985 by Jason Ringenberg and shortly afterwards went to Berlin. Even before the fall of the Berlin Wall , The Waltons were giving secret concerts in East Berlin , announced only by word of mouth , to which they smuggled their instruments across the border . In 1987 you staged a requiem with the Berliner Symphoniker in the Berlin Philharmonie under the name “Gang of Wrath” .
After a break since 1994, the u. a. was triggered by a conflict with one of their record companies, The Waltons began to give concerts again in 2004 and have since released new albums.
