The Wanted is a five-piece British - Irish boy band .
Career
From London coming boy band was put together as part of a mass auditions in 2009. Members of this casting are Thomas Anthony (called Tom) Parker, Nathan James (called Nathan, Nath) Sykes and James Kevin (called Jay) McGuiness. Two other members, Siva (called Siva, Seev) Kaneswaran, who had already worked as a model in several advertising campaigns, partly together with his twin brother Kumar Kaneswaran, and Maximilian Alberto (called Max) George, member of the disbanded band Avenue , joined them later.
The debut single All Time Low was released in July 2010, in Germany the single was released on October 15. The band's debut album was released on September 1, 2010 on the German market.
Chasing the Sun was selected for the closing credits of the film Ice Age 4 - Fully Postponed . With the start of the film in the cinemas, the title was able to place itself in the international singles charts, although it had not yet appeared on CD.
The follow-up single I Found You came out in early November 2012. In June 2013, the single Walks Like Rihanna and the accompanying EP were released. In June their new series The Wanted Life was also released, which is similar to a video diary and shows the band at different experiences, performances, etc. In November, their third album, Word of Mouth , was released, for which they made a world tour in 2014.
In January 2014 it was announced that the band would take a break. Everyone wants to achieve their personal goals. However, this is not meant to be a final separation of the boy band, just a short break.
