The theater in the bunker is a station theater in Mödling , ( Lower Austria ).

The former air raid shelter of the 930 meter long tunnel system has been used since 1999 . The audience wanders through the tunnel system in small groups and encounters numerous short scenes, rooms and installations.

The theater in the bunker was founded by the director, theater director and author Bruno Max and is run by his theater for fear . So far you can see:

The bunker was built during the war by Italian forced laborers, among others, and served as a refuge for up to 8,000 people during the Allied bombing raids. It was considered the safest air raid shelter in the south of Vienna during around 160 bombing raids.
