Thebe ( Greek Θήβη ) is the daughter of Prometheus and a nymph in Greek mythology . She is the namesake for Thebes in Boeotia .
A connection between (a) Prometheus and Thebes can be found in Pausanias , who reports that the Kabiren people used to inhabit the place. Demeter came to them and gave Kabiren Prometheus and his son Aitnaios a sacred object.
