Themo Melikidze

Themo Melikidze (born Temur Melikidze ; born February 21, 1992 in Tbilisi , Georgia ) is a Georgian- born film actor living in the United States .

Life

Themo Melikidze was born in 1992 in the Georgian capital Tbilisi as the eldest of three children of a civil engineer and a nurse . The family left Georgia in 2000 due to economic conditions.

From the age of eight, Themo Melikidze grew up with his sister and brother in Bruges , Belgium . As a child and as a teenager he did a lot of sports, played soccer and practiced Taekwondo . At the age of about 13 he was awarded the black belt . Subsequently, he took part in many national and international Taekwondo competitions, including the Flanders Cup and the BeNeLux Open .

As a teenager, Melikidze graduated from a sports school in Bruges. Here he came into contact with acting, as he also participated in the school theater. That is why he applied to the renowned New York Film Academy after finishing school , where he completed his professional acting training until 2013. In 2014 he stood in front of the camera for the first time in the short film Faceless . In 2016 he made his breakthrough in Hollywood in the role of the bomb bomber Tamerlan Zarnayev in the feature film Boston .

In 2017 he will play a bigger role on television in the television series 24: Legacy .
