Theodor Bratschi

Theodor Bratschi (* 1922 , Biel - Bözingen ; † 2004 ) was a Swiss lawyer and federal judge .

education and profession

Bratschi studied law . He received his doctorate as Dr. iur. and was admitted to the bar in Lucerne . In 1955 the Federal Assembly appointed him substitute at the Federal Insurance Court . On December 14, 1967, the Federal Assembly elected him federal judge. In 1978 the Federal Council appointed him to the expert commission for the reorganization of the administration of federal justice, and in 1980 he was also elected President of the Federal Insurance Court. He held his office as a federal judge until 1987.

family

Bratschi came from an influential family. His father was the politician, union and business leader Robert Bratschi . His brother Heinz Bratschi was also a politician. Two of his nephews are the entrepreneur Konrad Bratschi and the business lawyer Peter Bratschi.
