After serving in the Bavarian Army for a year , he became the representative of the Leipzig glass wholesaler C. W. Scheffler for the states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. In 1885 he opened a branch with the name CW Scheffler Niederlage in Nuremberg's Köhnstraße southeast of the main train station , in 1886 he moved to Schoppershofstraße and changed the name to Süddeutsche Glasmanufaktur - Theodor Wieseler . From 1889/90 he was a partner of Adolf Beeri in the trading company Wieseler & Beeri - CW Scheffler for five years . In 1894 he opened a porcelain shop at 4 Kaiserstraße and a glass decoration shop at 18 Kaiserstraße.
In 1901 Theodor Wieseler sen. Together with his brother-in-law Ernst Mahler, partner of the newly founded company Wieseler & Mahler and in the same year co-founder and first director of the large purchasing association Nürnberger Bund , which is now based in the north of the Rhine due to the concentration of suppliers of the glass, porcelain, metal and household goods segment in the Ruhr area -Has Westphalian food .
In 1912 Theodor Wieseler jun. joined the trading company Wieseler & Mahler , in which he did not return to work until 1919 due to his being drafted into the Bavarian Army shortly afterwards and his participation in the First World War. In 1915 Hans Kösters became general manager, after the death of Theodor Wieseler sen. in 1924 partner of his son. From 1939 there was a branch at Nuremberg Königstrasse 20 with the name “Der Bunte Laden”, a branch of the same name in Erlangen existed until the early 1990s. On October 1, 1998, the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) bought the trading house, which has officially been called WMF Fachgeschäft Wieseler & Mahler AG since then . A Wieseler & Mahler lettering is still emblazoned above the branch at Karolinenstrasse 27 .
After 132 years, the traditional furniture store Wieseler & Mahler will close its shop at Karolinenstrasse 27.WMF justifies this with the fact that the lease expires and will not be extended. "Due to the upcoming increase in rent, it was no longer justifiable for WMF to rent the shop again."
