Theodore Lalliet

Casimir-Théophile Théodore Lalliet (born December 5, 1837 in Evreux , † 1892 in Paris ) was a French composer and conductor of classical music.

Life

Theodore Lalliet studied at the Conservatoire de Paris from 1858 to 1860 and then went to the Paris Opera , where he himself played in the orchestra as principal oboist.

  • Fantaisie sur Martha, Op. 23
  • Souvenir de Hummel, Op. 30th
  • several transcriptions for clarinet and piano (Chopin, Saint-Saens etc.)

He wrote some of his compositions for certain soloists, such as the Fantaisie brillante for Bassoon and Piano, op.21 . He wrote this 11-minute piece for his colleague and solo bassoonist Désiré Dihaut.
