Theodore R. Marble

Theodore Richard Marmor (born February 24, 1939 in Brooklyn ) is an American legal and medical sociologist, professor at the Yale Law and Management School .

Life

Theodore R. Marmor, who himself prefers to be called informally Ted Marmor, studied at Harvard University . He received his Ph.D. in 1965. with a dissertation on "The career of John C. Calhoun : politician, social critic, political philosopher".

He works as a scientist and non-fiction author mainly on topics of the US health system and health policy . Prior to his retirement, he was director of the Center for Public Health Research at Yale University. Under US President Jimmy Carter, he was the latter's advisor on health policy issues and several times a consultant for the US Congress on reform projects.

Theodore R. Marmor is currently involved as a consultant for non-profit organizations .
