Theodore von Kármán Prize
The Theodore von Kármán Prize of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) is a prize for applied mathematics . It is awarded for outstanding applications of mathematics to mechanics or engineering in the previous five to ten years. It is awarded every five years and is endowed with $ 1,000. It is named after Theodore von Kármán .
There are also other prizes named after Karman such as the Von Karman Medal .
