Najaf Theological College

The Islamic Theological University of Najaf (“ Hawza Najaf ”) in Iraq is an important Shiite theological university. It was founded by Sheikh Tusi (Muḥammad b. Al-Ḥasan aṭ-Ṭūsī) and is now one of the largest theological universities in the Islamic world. It goes back to the theological teaching group for Shiites founded in the 11th century .
