history

In the Middle Ages , the residents of Meusebach owned a fortified replacement living space in the oval courtyard of a church for their protection . The desert church was surrounded by a rampart and a moat. There are only sparse remains of the wall in the courtyard. Some of the sandstones were stolen as building material. The bell of the earlier church is in the Tröbnitz church . A source version is still recognizable. Ceramic finds prove the use of the fortified complex in the 13th and 14th centuries.
