Therese Steinhardt

Therese Steinhardt Rosenblatt (born October 2, 1896 in New York City ; died April 2, 1948 ) was an American painter.

Life

Therese Steinhardt was the third child of Adolph Steinhardt and Addie Untermyer, the politician Samuel Untermyer was an uncle, one brother was the diplomat Laurence Steinhardt . She married the industrialist William Rosenblatt in 1920 and they had three sons, Robert, Richard and Peter Rosenblatt.

Therese Steinhardt painted and had her first public exhibition in New York in 1945. Her painting Lest We Forget was purchased by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1948 .
