Thessera is a Brazilian progressive metal band from Juiz de Fora that was formed in 2003.

history

The band was founded in early 2003 and consisted of singer Marcelo Quina, guitarists Nando Costa and Raphael Lamim, bassist Marcelo Mattos, keyboardist Rodolfo Amaro and drummer Fernando Cerutti. In May 2006 the band released their debut album Fooled Eyes in self- publication . As a result, the band reached a contract with ProgRock Records , so that the album was released worldwide on this label. After the band had toured Europe in 2007, which included an appearance at ProgPower Europe , the band began work on their second album.

style

The band plays progressive metal, with the use of elements from classical , fusion and blues , as well as the use of Brazilian rhythms is characteristic.
