Thiemo Janssen

Thiemo Janssen (* 1966 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German organist and church musician .

Life

Thiemo Janssen studied church music , music theory and the organ in Hanover, Lyon and Hamburg . His teachers included Ulrich Bremsteller , Harald Vogel , Louis Robilliard and Wolfgang Zerer . From 1995 to 2000 he was organist and cantor at St. Nikolaus in Friedrichshafen . Since 2000 he has been organist and cantor at the Ludgeri Church in North / East Friesland together with his wife Agnes Luchterhandt . The local Arp Schnitger organ dates from 1688. From 2000 to 2006 Thiemo Janssen taught organ at the Hamburg University of Music . He is active as a soloist and course lecturer in Europe, the USA, Japan and South Korea. Several radio, CD and television recordings are available.
