Thiento von Wessobrunn , also Seliger Thiento von Wessobrunn, (* 9th century or 10th century; † 955 in Wessobrunn ) was a German abbot .

Thiento was abbot in Wessobrunn Monastery from 942 until his death in 955 . His legend tells that he was executed together with six monks by the Hungarians who raided and destroyed the monastery. There is evidence that Thiento was venerated as a martyr along with the six others since the 13th century . In 1707 the bones of the seven were transferred to a grave in the monastery church, which was destroyed during the secularization when the church was demolished in 1810. Thiento's Memorial Day is April 3rd .
