Thilo Jaques
Thilo Jaques (born February 21, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German composer and conductor .
Life
Thilo Jaques came into contact with classical music very early on . At the age of eight he received piano lessons . His first compositions were created when he was ten years old. Thilo Jaques started playing the horn at the age of 15 . As a horn player, he worked in various youth orchestras. He later studied composition and theory at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater .
Thilo Jaques won several composition prizes, including a. also the 1st prize of the North German song competition. His compositions include a. a horn concert and the Amish Symphony .
From 1994 to 2002 Thilo Jaques was conductor of the Junge Orchester Hamburg; since 2004 he has also been the conductor of the Hamburg Doctors Orchestra; in autumn 2002 he also took over the musical direction of the Junge Symphoniker Hamburg.
