Thine Eyes Bleed is a Canadian melodic death metal / metalcore band from London, Ontario .
Band history
Thine Eyes Bleed was founded in 2002 by Justin Wolfe (vocals), Jeff Phillips (guitar) and Daryl Stephens (drums). Shortly thereafter, Tom Araya's brother Johnny Araya (bass) and James Reid (guitar) joined the band. After a few local live shows, the band signed with The End Records in 2005 . In the same year her debut album In the Wake of Separation was released . They then played at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas and as the opening act for Soulfly , Six Feet Under and Kittie . In 2006 Thine Eyes Bleed opened the Unholy Alliance Tour with Children of Bodom , Mastodon and Lamb of God , as well as headlining Slayer .
In 2007 they focused on their second self-titled work, which was released in 2008. After the loss of their record deal, the band fell silent. A new album has already been completed, the band is currently looking for a new management and a new record deal.
Music genre
Thine Eyes Bleed plays melodic death metal of the Swedish school around bands like In Flames and At the Gates and subtle influences from New York Hardcore . Occasionally the style is also assigned to metalcore .
