Thomas Bernauer
Thomas Bernauer (born May 20, 1963 in London , Ontario ) is a Swiss - Canadian political scientist and professor of international politics at the Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich .
academic career
Thomas Bernauer studied political science, history and international law at the University of Zurich , where he graduated in 1988 with a licentiate. From 1988 to 1992 he was as a research assistant at the United Nations operates (United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR)). In this context, he completed his dissertation and received a doctorate in political science from the University of Zurich in 1992. He then worked as a senior assistant at the University of Zurich. In 1995 he was appointed assistant professor for international relations at the ETH Zurich. He has been a full professor since 2004.
research
Bernauer's research deals with questions of international political economy and environmental policy. He is the author of numerous books and scientific articles in international specialist journals that have been published by renowned publishers.
