Thomas Bernhart

Thomas Bernhart (born May 23, 1965 in Vienna ) is an Austrian specialist in dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine in Vienna. His focus is in the field of implantology . He also worked as a professor at the University Dental Clinic at the Medical University of Vienna .

Career

After graduating from the Bundesgymnasium Albertgasse , Bernhart studied at the Medical Faculty in Vienna, where he received his doctorate in 1989. Bernhart completed his training as a specialist in dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine at the University of Vienna in 1994. In the same year he founded his own ordination, in which he still practices today. In 2001 Bernhart completed his habilitation as an associate professor - a year later a visiting professorship at UCLA in California followed. From 2004 he worked for ten years at the Medical University of Vienna as the deputy head of the oral surgery department. Since 2016, Bernhart has been the designated course director for the master's degree in dentistry at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna . He was also a board member of the Austrian Society for Implantology (ÖGI). Bernhart is married and has two children.
