Thomas Declaude (* 1950 in Paris ) is an Austrian cultural worker.

Life

Declaude grew up in Vienna. His career began as a singer and musician in the 1970s. In 1973 he recorded his first record as a singer and interpreter, the "Baronkarl", together with Kurt Sowinetz (lyrics: Peter Henisch ). In 1975 he got a five-year contract with CBS. In the following years he worked with musicians from the Viennese jazz and rock scene: Wolfgang Puschnig , Fritz Pauer and members of the Vienna Art Orchestra . His work as a composer of unusual songs brought Declaude to the theater, where he soon became an actor.

Since the early 1980s, Declaude has played on numerous Austrian stages and in independent groups ( Wiener Volkstheater , Ensemble Theater , Theater der Jugend , Theater an der Gumpendorfer Straße ). At the end of the 1980s he founded the “Theater im Celeste” together with partner Willy Höller . After that, five successful productions made the "Theater im Celeste" possible. Tours in fourteen countries (including China, USA, Germany, Israel, GB, Italy, Poland ...). Since 1996 Thomas Declaude has also been leading seminars to expand individual creative skills and implement them.
