Thomas Jepsen

Thomas Jepsen (born March 19, 1973 in Flensburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). As a successor, he was a member of the 18th Bundestag for a short time .

Life

Jepsen passed the Abitur in 1992 at the Flensburg Business School . He then completed an apprenticeship as a banker until 1995 . Parallel to his professional activity, Jepsen did his alternative military service at the technical relief organization from 1995 to 2004 . In 1997 he trained as a savings bank specialist, and from 1999 to 2000 he completed advanced training as a savings bank business administrator. In the course of his work at the Sparkasse he was a. a. worked as a branch manager and corporate customer advisor until he became self-employed as a real estate and finance broker in 2003.

Jepsen is married and has two children.

Jepsen became a member of the CDU in 1995. Until 2008 he was a member of the Junge Union. Since 2003 he has been chairman of the CDU district association in the Langballig office and since 2007 deputy district chairman. Since 2003 he has been a civic member and since 2011 a member of the CDU in the district council of the Schleswig-Flensburg district. On July 3, 2017, he replaced the directly elected member of the Bundestag Sabine Sütterlin-Waack of the CDU in the constituency of Flensburg-Schleswig in the 18th Bundestag. Jepsen did not run for the 2017 federal election .
