Thomas Kläy is a Swiss curler and Olympic champion .
Kläy made his international debut at the Junior World Championship in Kitchener in 1980 , but he remained without a medal.
Kläy played as the lead of the Swiss team at the XVI. 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville in curling. Skip Urs Dick's team won the Olympic gold medal after a 7-6 win in the final against Norway under Skip Tormod Andreassen . Since curling was still a demonstration sport at that time, the medal has no official status.
