Thomas McCall
Thomas McCall (* 1834 in Penpont , Dumfries and Galloway , † 1904 in Kilmarnock ) was a Scottish wheelwright , who in 1860 rebuilt a pole bicycle made by Kirkpatrick Macmillan . The Stuttgart gymnastics teacher Johann Friedrich Trefz also developed a rear-wheel drive using rods in 1869.
