Thomas Plaß (* probably Berka ; † around the turn of the year 1608/1609 probably in Lübeck ) was a German lawyer and council secretary of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

The exact life dates of Thomas Plaß are in the dark. According to Friedrich Bruns' assumption , it is Thomas Blatz Berckensis, who was matriculated at the University of Erfurt in 1580/81 . Thomas Plaß is then handed down several times in 1590/91 as respondent and president with confirmation of this origin at the University of Helmstedt in VD16 . In 1597 he was appointed registrar by the Lübeck Council, mentioning his qualification as a Magister, but was not sworn in to the office until 1599. With the appointment of the later Lübeck Council Secretary Friedrich Popping as registrar, he moved up to become Council Secretary of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck in 1602. On November 1, 1608, he was still in service and received several orders from the Lübeck council for processing. As early as February 1609, payments were made to his widow.
