Wolfram Wickert

Wolfram Wickert (born May 30, 1941 in Shanghai ) is a German writer and painter .

The father Erwin Wickert was the first broadcast attaché of the Foreign Service in Shanghai since 1940. Wolfram Wickert worked a. a. at the German embassy in New Delhi and in the office of Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt . After the political change in the GDR , Wickert was first an advisor to the government of Lothar de Maizière ; from 1990 to 1993 then press spokesman and office manager of the Brandenburg Agriculture Minister Edwin Zimmermann . In 1999, Wickert was government spokesman for EU and economic summits with Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder . He is the brother of the long-time ARD - Tagesthemen moderator (1991-2006) and author Ulrich Wickert and the uncle of actress Emily Wood . In the meantime, Wolfram Wickert has repeatedly worked as a writer and painter (under the name Lao Lang ). He is chairman of the Erwin Wickert Foundation, which his father founded in 1997.

From 1968 to 1977 he was married to Victoria Princess zur Lippe (1943–1988), daughter of Ernst Leopold Prinz zur Lippe , who married the art dealer Christoph Pudelko (1932–2017) in 1984. The marriage resulted in the sons Alexander Wickert (* 1969) and Roderik Wickert (* 1971), journalist . It was followed in 1988 by a marriage with Myriam geb. Freiin von Loë (* 1959; 1982–1987 wife of Wilderich Freiherr von Weichs zur Wenne (* 1955)), from whom the children Anna (1988–2008) and Konstantin (1991–2008) were born, who died in a traffic accident. Myriam born von Loë, who is married to Ferdinand Freiherr von Korff zu Schloss Harkotten for the third time , initiated the Anna Konstantin Funding , a pilot project to support young people who are enthusiastic about horses. In their third marriage, Wolfram Wickert married Katharina geb. Graf, with whom he has son Leonard and daughter Victoria.
