Thomas Salomon (politician)

Thomas Salomon (* 1952 ) is a German politician and member of the NPD . He is active on the federal executive board and heads the education department. From 1991 to 1995 he was deputy party chairman, from 2011 to 2013 chairman of the NPD district association Oberhavel and was press spokesman for the state executive in Brandenburg until the end of 2010.

Life

Salomon studied food chemistry. At the age of 18 he became a member of the Young National Democrats and the NPD in Berlin . Salomon was active on the national board of the NPD and from 1975 to 1982 on the federal board of the JN. Salomon has been a member of the National Board of the NPD since 1985. From 1991 to 1995 he was deputy party chairman. He resigned from this office after internal disputes. Since 1998 he has been a member of the party executive again. He heads the "Education and Training Unit". The training of the NPD cadres is subject to him. From 2003 to 2010 he was also press spokesman for the state board of the NPD in Brandenburg. At the local level, Salomon is currently active in the Oberhavel district association.

On May 20, 1998, Salomon declared at an NPD meeting in Hamburg that there would be "a political change by the right-wing camp" not through free elections, but only through a "second November 9". He himself firmly believes in a civil war . This remark was used in the Federal Council 's application for a ban on the NPD as evidence of the NPD's hostility to the constitution. Salomon was mentioned by name several times in the reports for the protection of the constitution of the state of Brandenburg.
