Thomas Schremmer (born September 26, 1960 in Ibbenbüren ) is a German politician ( Alliance 90 / The Greens ). From 2013 to 2017 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in Salzgitter in 1980, Thomas Schremmer completed training as a state-recognized educator . From 1984 to 1988 he studied mineralogy without a degree . From 1989 until the election to the state parliament in 2013 he was employed by the state capital Hanover .

Political activity

Thomas Schremmer has been a member of the Greens since 1998. From 2006 to 2012 he was spokesman for the Green City Association of Hanover and a member of the party council.

In the 2013 state elections , Thomas Schremmer ran in the Hanover-Ricklingen constituency and took 6th place on the state list of Greens. While the direct mandate went to Stefan Politze (SPD), Schremmer moved into the state parliament via the state list. In the 17th electoral term he was deputy chairman of the Green parliamentary group.

Private

Thomas Schremmer lives in Hanover- Döhren , is married and has two children.
