Thomas Seerig (born April 18, 1960 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and an elected member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Thomas Seerig completed an economics degree with a degree in business administration. He works in the management of a youth work agency.

Seerig has been a member of the FDP since 1978 and chairman of the FDP local association in Steglitz, as well as a member of the FDP's Berlin state board since 2008. He was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1990 to 1995 and received another mandate from the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district list in the 2016 election . In the FDP parliamentary group, he is the spokesman for social and disability policy and care. He is a member of the committees for integration, labor and social affairs as well as health, equality and care. He is also a member of the Presidium of the House of Representatives. In November 2017 it became known that Seerig and his parliamentary group chairman Sebastian Czaja had received a lump sum from tax revenues of 850 euros per month for an office that did not yet exist since the beginning of the legislature. Seerig repaid the amount after it became known.

He is married and has one son.
