The Thomas Tarn is a small lake on Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is northeast of Jane Peak . It was created in the 1980s.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the lake in 2004 after the dubious Apostle Thomas , as the scientists of the British Antarctic Survey considered the long-term existence of the newly created lake doubtful.
