Thomas Timm

Thomas Timm is a former German basketball player .

Life

In 1972 Timm became the North German champion with the B-youth of VfL Pinneberg . In 1973 he took part with the German national cadet team at the European championship for this age group in Italy and was the Germans' second best scorer with 10.6 points per match. For the 1973/74 season he moved to Hamburg TB in the basketball league . Timm was also part of the FRG squad at the 1974 European Junior Championship in France and scored 4.3 points per game over the course of the tournament. He stayed with the Hamburg Bundesliga club for a year and then returned to Pinneberg. With VfL he won in the 1975/76 season as a champion of the Regionalliga Nord in the 2nd basketball league  . Timm was the best Pinneberger basket shooter in the championship team. He then played in the second division for VfL and advanced with the team in the game year 1979/80 in the top group of the league.
