Thomas Tredgold
Thomas Tredgold (born August 22, 1788 in Brandon , County Durham , † January 28, 1829 ) was an English engineer.
Life
After finishing school at a village school, he trained as a cabinet maker in Durham . He stayed there for six years and studied mathematics, architecture and perspective. After completing his training in 1808, he went to Scotland, where he worked as a carpenter and wandering carpenter . A few years later he moved to London , where he worked for an architect and wrote his engineering works.
